Let’s find Blackbeard.
The Outer Banks has played hosts to lots of famous people. The most notorious was Blackbeard, the illusive and very successful pirate. Rumor has it that Eastern North Carolina, with its waterways and hidden caves, was his favorite haunt. Instead of trick-or-treating this year, why not go on a scavenger hunt for Blackbeard’s path of fun and destruction. You might even find it much spookier to add a pirate to your fall fun. We have lots of ideas:
- Visit the local historical societies in the area and gather all the information you can on the trail of Blackbeard and where he left his mark. How about making it a competition to see which one of your friends can find out the most about him? Maybe challenge people to find out how the sneaky pirate got his name. Have local children make posters of how they think he might have looked.
- Plan an excursion! Invite friends with RVs to travel around The Outer Banks as you explore Blackbeard’s favorite haunts. No worries about where to park your RV since we have lots of self-storage space right here.
- Why not make this a party with a spooky theme? You could search local party supply shops for pirate themed tableware. And this is where the treats come in. Have a committee make pirate cookies or maybe even a cake. Put a small tent on the beach once the sun goes down and the atmosphere is extra spooky. How about some scary music? Absolutely. Store all non-perishable items in our self-storage units.
Fall is officially here! And we are ready with lots of self-storage room for all of your treasures. Rent a self-storage unit for all your needs to ensure that everything has a place. Leave your RV here. You want to be ready for lots of autumn touring.
